Know Your Limits Campaign

This is one fashion show that shocked me but it was for an anti-alcohol campaign, luckily.

Punk it!

When it comes to punk fashion, the first person comes to mind is Vivienne Westwood, the Mother of Punk. She brought in modern punk and I love the blue leather mock-croc platform she designed which, had Naomi Campbell fell on the runway. Mother of Punk always look so full of energy in the photos. :)

What do you think of when you hear 'punk fashion'?

This?

Now how about this...

Lovely, isn't it? :)

Here's a few recent punk-related collections that I'm absolutely in love with:

Balmain SS 2011

Christophe Decarnin did it so fine, you can sense there is a kind of gentleness in this collection yet not losing the punk/biker-chic style. I love it. :)

My fave Carmen Kass.

The biker jackets are stunning.

Balenciaga SS 2011:

Don't you love their buckle boots? :)

Wouldn't it be cool if we have a day that everyone dresses up as punkers/rockers and rock n roll in town!! \m/

Saying hello...

As I was doing my regular read-up on fashion, I came across CSM's degree show 2011 and the collections were amazing. One of it was Minky Ha's collection named 'What Men Lives By?' tells a story of life in capitalism of the imaginary character she created and each outfit represents a certain stage of life.

Addicted to capitalism

Death in capitalism

I felt as if I just finished a short clip, hah. I believe the boundaries between fashion and art are now more blurred and this makes fashion a whole lot more exciting and anticipating. :)

Lastly, this is so very gorgeous: Thomas Browne sunglasses

I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
